Surf Lessons

If you have come to learn surfing, we are your surf camp. We provide a special attention coming from the best coaches in the area, real surfers with more than 20 years of experience. We will make the most of your week having lessons in the best time and place depending on the meteorologic conditions.

Five surf lessons are included in the weekly package, three hours each one. Some of the lessons will be filmed in order to make a video correction at home or in the school facilities. You will also have all our material (more than eighty boards) available. We will choose it depending on your level and the wave conditions so that you can use it the whole week.

Surf Guide

Not beginner anymore? No problem!!

If you have a good level and your goals are surf good waves, try different spots and its secrets… we offer you the surf guiding experience.

You have the option of bringing your own board or use our quiver as well. We will take you to the best spots in its best moments according to what you are looking for: empty lineups, the most powerful session of the day or a soul longboard session during the sunset…

As in the weekly packages, surf guiding includes five days per week and it could take a bit longer than three hours depending on what kind of spot, the tides etc. If you want your best waves to be filmed or in pictures, we will give you the prices of our photographers or filmers.

Kiteboarding

Named as one of the Top 4 Kiteboarding flatwater spots in the world Atins guarantees constant cross on-shore winds of 15 to 30 knots from mid-July to mid-January. The flat and shallow water offers ideal conditions for all level of kiters.

We are less than 100m from the beach and offer dedicated appliances for kite maintenance and storage. 

There are a couple of Kite schools and centers in the village and we happily assist with indications and recommendations should you require so. They will also organize Downwinders and trips to the Lençóis tailored for Kiting. 

Standup Paddle (SUP)

The flat waters of the lagoon and the Rio Preguiças invite even the uninitiated to try their hands at stand up paddling (SUP). Tours up and across the river can be combined with watching the sunset gathering of the local Red Ibis (Guará) for example.

Yoga

An open-air wooden deck nestled into a grove of Cashew trees awaits Yogis and Yoginis to go after their practice.

We welcome interested instructors and school to organize a retreat in this tranquil, high energy place. Guests are invited to make the use of the platform and equipment (mats, blocks, and belts for up to 16 students).

Relax

Atins is also a great place to simply let go. Internet and mobile connectivity are still luxuries here, so why not use the time and switch off with a good book in the hammock? At the Kitesurf & Yoga Hotel Atins we have plenty of those ready for you.

Sights

The Lençóis Maranhenses transpire a special magic. Its archetypical phenomenon of blue, green and black “lagoons” set in the middle of an otherwise desert-like landscape of white sand dunes are best experienced from June to September.

There are dozens of different ways to explore the Lençóis, from a multi-day trek crossing the entire park from Atins to Santo Amaro by foot passing the Rio Negro and the Cachoeira do Bozinho and the two oases Baixa Grande and Queimada dos Britos, to motorised 1/2 day trips including lunch in Canto do Atins or excursions on horseback.

Valério, your host, has more than a decade experience as a tour guide in the region and will happily advise on the best treks and guides pending your individual preferences.

Video Analysis

The best way of learning or improving your surfing is watching yourself in video and correcting mistakes, positioning, technique etc.

Some of the lessons will be filmed in order to make a video correction at home or in the school facilities (surfcamp package only).

If you have a good level and what you wish is to have your sessions filmed, we offer you your own filmer. Let´s get your first aquatic surfing picture with profesional quality!

Stretching and functional exercises

Furthermore, we have three stretching and functional exercises sessions per week. This way we will show you the best trainings to be fit to go to the water. When the waves arrived you will be fit enough and you will surf easily.

They will take part in our facilities or outdoor depending on the weather.

Skate lessons

We have one of the funniest and coolest miniramp in Spain. Learn how to skate while wathing the ocean. Complement it with the surf lessons and you will we the diference in the water. We will provide you a skate instructor and diferent kinds of skateboards such as ordinary skate or surf skate (not included in the package).

Cultura & another Activities

We are located in a special environment and a few kilometers from interesting historical areas. And for those days you want us to perform other activities we offer the possibility of :

• Visiting the most beautiful towns in the sorroundings. Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz, Barbate with their monuments and its gastronomy…
• Horse riding along the beach with the best companies in the área.
• Whale watching in Tarifa.
• Hiking in the best landscapes, wathing the charactheristic fauna…
• And a pile of free time activities we offer once you are in the surfcamp.

Retro Surf Sessions

This is a new concept. You will have the oportunity of knowing diferents kind of boards, how they work, what sort of waves they are used for… Longboard, retrofish, midleng, catchsurfs… Specially for those with a good level of surfing

Special Weeks / Eventos

Throughout the year we will let you know about special weeks. Surf with international level surfers, shaping sessions, photographers, contests etc. The prices will change according to the activity.
