Each campsite is on the beach with one house stay that is less than 1km away. Privately owned minivan transportation throughout.

There will be two staff members accompanying each trip who will provide 24-hour support. We welcome any surfers over 18 who are up for having a great holiday. When not out surfing, you can enjoy beach games, card games and hikes in your free time. There are also activity excursions that can be organized such as kayaking up rivers, tubing down rapids, bungee jumping, and chasing waterfalls – to name a few.

Each trip can hold up to 5 people. The trips are conducted once a month all year round. The surf breaks we visit are aimed towards intermediate surfers and above. Therefore, we do not recommend this trip for beginner surfers. There is WiFi available throughout the whole trip, laundry is also available.

Every day there is a delicious breakfast and dinner provided. We cater to all types of foodies whether it be vegetarian or vegan. Lunch will be at your own expense and each day there will be either an excellent local restaurant or self-catering choice available.

The ‘party days’ are all dependent on the group and the group’s vibe. For those that want, there is ample opportunity for some beers whilst chatting and listening to music around the campfire. At several of the stops, there is also the option to visit some nearby bars for a few drinks in the evening if desired.

THE ACTIVITIES

Surf

The surf breaks we visit are aimed towards intermediate surfers and above. Therefore, we do not recommend this trip for beginner surfers.

Still Baai: point break not even a kilometer away. Here the ocean does pull you left away from the break, but the paddling is worth it for the great waves.

Victoria Bay (Vic Bay for short): The bay is a righthand point break and can run for over 100 meters.

Plettenberg Bay (Plett for short): There are many world-class breaks in this area and there will nearly always be a wave working no matter what conditions are like.

St Francis Bay: There is also a right-hand point break which can run for over 200 meters and is a great wave for all.

Jeffreys Bay: the most famous surfing spot along the way, is world class. One of the breaks is even featured on the World Surfing League Tour.

Other Activities

  • Chasing waterfalls
  • Kayaking up rivers
  • Tubing down rapids
  • Hiking
  • Beach games
  • Bungee jumping
  • Wildlife safaris in nearby National Parks
  • Card games

Party

The ‘party days’ are all dependent on the group and the group’s vibe. For those that want, there is ample opportunity for some beers whilst chatting and listening to music around the campfire. At several of the stops, there is also the option to visit some nearby bars for a few drinks in the evening if desired.

A normal day at the camp

  • Start off with a yoga session at sunrise (if you choose the yoga add-on), which is then followed by a morning surf.
  • After the morning session, breakfast will be served. Breakfast will be either muesli and fruit or a fry-up – fry-ups will happen every other day.
  • After breakfast, there are options to go hiking, kayaking, or just relaxing and reading a good book. We also have a large variety of beach games available.
  • For lunch, there will either be a self-catering option, or we will head off to one of the many excellent restaurants in the area.
  • After returning from lunch and letting our food go down, there is time to go for another surf until sunset.
  • When you finally get out of the water, there will be snacks and an ice-cold beer, followed by sitting around the campfire.
  • Here dinner will be served and eaten around the fire in a relaxed atmosphere chatting, listening to music and planning for the day ahead.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE

Location

As this is a mobile surf camp, our location is always changing. The stops that have been chosen are Still Baai, Victoria Bay, Plettenberg Bay, St Francis Bay and finally Jeffreys Bay. At each stop, the campsite is less than 500 meters from the beach and walking distance to those surf breaks. Most stops have small shops a short walk away.

At Still Baai the campsite is right on the beach.

When staying at Victoria Bay we camp almost directly above the waves, looking down into the bay. The surrounding area also has a multitude of activities that you can do; such as hiking, waterfall chasing, and kayaking.

Plettenberg Bay is a scenic little town on the outskirts of the Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve.

InJeffreys Bay, the campsite here is less than 1.5 km away from the break.

Getting Here

The trip will be taken in a mini van driven by myself. The van is spacious and comfortable, easily fitting everyone without feeling cramped for long journeys. All our equipment will be transported on the trailer attached.
