INTRODUCTION
The Sumba Surf Charter boat is a traditional Phinisi schooner built in 2012 by the famous Konjo tribe in Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is European managed and completely renovated. Our experienced crew will take the best care of you, organise the land activities or snorkelling, drop you off straight on the line up to surf, pick you up whenever you wish and will take care of your safety and wellbeing at all times. Our Chef will spoil you with the fresh dinners that can be also adjusted to vegetarian diet.
We offer Komodo Trips and Surf Charter trips to Sumba, Sawu, Rote, Timor and Mangkudu. Tropical warm weather in Komodo and Sumba makes the destinations always great for travel, with the temperatures ranging from 25-35C. Rainy season lasts from December to March, making the air more humid. However rain falls just a few hours in a day. The dry lasts from June to September.
The boat consists of 2 double bed cabins, 2 bunk bed Cabins, 1 double bed and single bed cabin and can accommodate 11 people at a time. You can book a bed in a shared cabin for a trip or it can be booked as private charter depending on availability.

SURF TRIPS
Timor – Rote – Sawu – Sumba – 12 days – 11 nights
MINIMUM 6 PARTICIPANTS:
The Cruise will bring you to the remote areas of South East Nusa Tenggara or the Lesser Sunda Islands. Sumba, Savu, Rote are small islands but rich on great waves and almost always empty.
We start in Kupang and will pass Rote which is known for the famousT-Land peak with amazing wave for lefthander. Between Rote and Sumba we will sail through very remote area of Indonesia and pass numerous smaller islands which are only accessable by boat and guarantee empty breaks! You will have opportunity to surf amazing waves with zero crowds. Our next destination south of Sumba mainland will be an island called Mangkudu with a magical lefthander and a not as good but fun still fun righthander. We will continue our journey along the majestic coastline of Sumba, stopping at the Millers Right spot and many other amazing unknown spots. Our last session of the trip will be Pero´s left and Pero´s Right before we will reach our destination Tambolaka.
Sumba – Sawu – Rote – Timor – 12 days – 11 nights
MINIMUM 6 PARTICIPANTS:

We start in Sumba and enjoy the first spots Racetracks and Five-O´s where we will surf as much as we want! Our next destination is an island called Mangkudu with a magical lefthander and also a nice right. After that we will head towards a very remote area of Indonesia. The islands of Savu and Raijua that are hardly ever visited by surfers and offer amazing waves with zero crowds. Next destination is Rote Island which is known for its T-Land spot which is an amazing wave. We will also hopp around the area where we find numerous smaller islands which are only accessable by boat and guarantee empty breaks! From Rote we will continue our route towards Kupang, Timor will be the last spot on of our adventure.
Komodo – Sumba – 10 Days – 9 Nights
MINIMUM 6 PARTICIPANTS:
Sumba has a long and beautiful shoreline offers the surfers few known but also many more undiscovered surf spots that offer empty waves with no other surfers. We start our journey in Labuan Bajo through the Komodo National Park and see if we can find a Komodo Dragon on Rinca Island. Before we take our overnight trip to Sumba we will visit Padar Island to have a few Bintangs and enjoy the sunset. Our first surf spots after we reached Sumba are Perro Left and Perro Right. The following days we will sail along the beautiful, wild coastline with untouched beaches and jungle and surf different spots along the way. On this trip we will be surfing only a few known spots but mainly unknown and empty waves. Next stop will be island Mangkudu with its famous left. Our last surf spots will beRacetracks & Five-O ́s and a few others on Sumba mainland. Many of the spots on this trip are possible to reach only by boat so almost 100% guarantee of zero other surfers in the water next to us.
THINGS TO BRING:
- Few sets of clothes (don´t forget long-sleeved shirts and long trousers) pair of comfortable shoes for exploring some local areas during our stops
- Board shorts and sun-protecting lycra (long-sleeved) or surfing shirt
- Drinking bottle to refill from the gallons available on the boat. Plastic is a huge problem in Indonesia and we are trying to avoid producing more plastic trash in the oceans
- Reef shoes or booties
- Ear plugs (if you are afraid of ear infections)
- Sunblock cream/surf zink
- Medicines according to your needs
- Cameras, books, kindles, iPod, headphones, games…
- Some leash and fins
- Enough wax for tropical water
- Yoga mat

Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands of Indonesia. The park is known in the world as the habitat of the Komodo dragon, the largest lizard on Earth. The national park is also known for its wonderful marine biodiversity and the quantity of marine. The area offers more than 67 dive spots, its reef full of corals, more than 1000 fish species and 14 cetacean species, and you will find here 6 out of 7 turtle species on earth.
In our Trips we offer to sail through the park to discover the beauty of it in the best way. We will organize trekking adventures, snorkeling trips and Komodo dragon viewing trips for your experience of a lifetime!
