Alaska Surf Camp is located in Seward, Alaska. The closest surf break we access is 20 miles from town by boat, helicopter & airplane. Seward’s summer season May-August boasts endless activities, tours, and hikes for adventuress travelers. Driving to Seward from Anchorage, which is Alaska’s largest city, provides travelers a world class 2-hour scenic drive through the Chugach mountain range.
There is never any shortage of things to do while spending time in Alaska’s backcountry. In additional to all time beach combing, there are hikes, wildlife, and scenic flights to keep us busy.
In Alaska nothing is easy, but we feel that this only heightens the experience. Here at Alaska Surf Camp we offer a unique opportunity for surfers to experience what it takes to pursue remote cold water waves in the Last Frontier. We offer the opportunity for an expedition style fully outfitted camping trips for those looking to get in touch with the elements.
We currently have 1 guide who is born and raised in Alaska and has spent the last decade perusing cold water waves out of Seward, Alaska. Our trips are available to surfers ages 14-70.

While we do want to encourage you to bring whatever you need to make yourself comfortable, the nature of our transportation methods by both airplane and helicopter place strict weight restrictions on what we can bring on the trips.

Alaska Surf Camp offers fly-out surfing trips where we gear up and head 20-40 miles into Alaska’s Gulf. The Airplane drops us off at our remote location where we surf and have time to check out the scenery before our ride returns to pick us up and return us to Seward.
While Alaska has no wave forecast, we are able to choose locations based upon the skill and comfort level of our guests. Our operating season runs from the beginning of May to the middle of September. We do not currently offer any surf school or surfing lessons. Surfing combined with sightseeing in a fixed wing bush plane as we scour the coastline in pursuit of cold Alaskan waves.
The plane offers us an amazing flight experience, while also allowing us to haul all of the essential gear and supplies for our multi-day trips. Bush Planes. If you have never flown in a small Alaskan bush plane or surfed in Alaska, our Bush Plane Surf trips are the ultimate Alaska surf experience.
We travel in a Cessna 185 fixed-wing airplane, which allows us to haul all of our essential gear for multi-day surf excursions. Ocean Front Camping. Our “overnighter” and “double overnighter” trips are an incredible opportunity for adventurers to escape the crowds and experience Alaska’s remote surf breaks and captivating wildlife. These trips are fully outfitted camping trips which include meals and top of the line equipment.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Alaska Surf Camp is located in the Seward Adventure Station building in Seward, Alaska’s historic down town district . Our location is surrounded by local shops, great food, and nightlife. If you have your own car, a drive out to Exit Glacier is a must. Here you can enjoy a short hike to view the historic glacier.
Traveling to Alaska can be done by Plane, Boat, and Car. We recomend flying into Anchorage and jumping on the Alaska Railroad where you can enjoy the scenic train ride to Seward.
