The resort’s 144 rooms and family friendly suites, with views over the sea and over the Baleeira harbor, provide you with all the comfort of an unforgettable bed and are fully equipped.
The hotel’s facilities include a restaurant, bar, lounge, swimming pool with magnificent ocean views and an area for spa treatments and massages also equipped with a sauna, gym, heated indoor pool. Meanwhile, the children can enjoy themselves with the many activities available, such as the playroom and even surf classes.
The Hotel has its own surf center and also offers many outdoor activities: the Guests can rent a bicycle to tour the region, arrange jeep trips and water sports like surfing lessons, windsurfing or diving. THE ACCOMMODATION
Hotel
This luxury beachfront hotel sits confortably between the land and the sea, with protected natural park as its neighbour. The architecture combines a natural simplicity with contemporary style to create a building that appears organic, as if born to Nature. The 37 rooms, including two duplex Beach Suites, all have private balconies or terraces that afford impressive ocean views.
The hotel´s restaurant, with one of the best views in the Algarve, serves a full buffet breakfast and offers a tempting dinner menu based on Portuguese and seasonal produce, prepared with a modern flourish. Hotel guests have full acess to all the other resort facilities. There are 9 Terrace Rooms in the main hotel building, 26 Beach Rooms in the cuboid clusters right next to the main hotel building and 2 duplex Beach Suites for those special stays.
Newspapers are delivered daily, all rooms are non-smoking, fully air-conditioned and benefit from a daily maid service with an additional evening turn down and the hotel offers 24 hours room service, valet service car parking provided.
TERRACE ROOMS
Situated whithin the main building and surrounded by private gardens. The Architecture draws on the austere beauty of the unspoiled western Algarve, a design signature that is effortlessly carried through to the living spaces. The use by British furnish the rooms lend the accommodation a minimalist, organic quality that is as appealing as it is innovative.
Likewise, the muted pastel tones used to decorate the interior create a wonderfully mellow atmosphere that is easy on the mind, and on the soul. Each ensuite room has its own private wood deck terrace and anarea of lawn where guests can louge and soak in the sun and memorable sea views.
BEACH ROOMS
Clusters of four near the beach and are just a short walk from the main building. Positioned to take full advantage of an outstanding coastal panorama, these rooms are flat roofed and wrapped entirely in natural timber to blend effortlessly into the landscape. Inside, the clour palette is deliberately subdued and living spaces fashionably understated: the mood is cool and refined.
Natural wood, stone, cork and other locally sourced materials have been employed by British furniture and interiors designer Michael Sodeau to decorate the interior. The impression is one of function and continuity. Rooms open on to private balconies or terraces where glorious ocean views and sunsets can be fully appreciated.
BEACH SUITES
The Beach Suites are just two and are visually stunning in their appearance. Clad in natural timber and positioned overlooking the ocean, the Suites incorporate loft-style double height living spaces, with the open-plan bedroom situated on the mezzanine level. Outside, a private veranda has been carefully orientated to take advantage of the setting sun. Floorspace is deceptively generous, and the enormous floo-to-ceiling bay windows greatly enhance the sense of proportion.
A private ground floor terrace estends on to a modest laws. A soft pastel colour scheme complements to eco-friendly materials and fibres that British furniture and interiors designer Michael Shodeau has used to furnish the rooms, and the mood is one of refinement and understated luxury. The Beach Suites interconnect with Adjacent Beach Room – perfect for families with older children. The design, however, still allows for privacy without losing the feeling of continuity.

OCEAN HOUSES
The Ocean Houses are right at the heart of the resort, carefully arrange in small terraced groups at the front the Village, Ocean Houses are singular in their character and form. The accommodation is upside down, with living spaces created upstairs to take full advantage of the incredible views. British furniture and interiors designer Michael Sodeau has created an exclusive range of furniture that is modern, attractive and functional. A natural, organic quality prevails with the use of materials like stone timber and cork.
Ocean Houses have their own private verandas where guests can enjoy al fresco meals overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and watch the sunset in splendour. It is an outstanding location: the beach is on the doorstep as are all the resort´s leisure and entertainment facilities.

BAY HOUSES
The Bay Houses are located on the eastern margin of the resort and are the most spacious and secluded properties. Furnished throughout to the highest standards by British designer Michael Soudeau, the Bay House character is shophisticated and functional but pleasantly understated. The use of traditional materials such as timber, cork and wicker as a natural dimension to the modern perspective. The houses have been designed upside down, with living areas on the first floor to make the most of the unspoiled location.
Furthermore, they have an east-west orientation and allow the best views from both sides – with beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets. The stunning natural park is on the doorstep, but so is the hospitality and amenities of a luxury five-star resort.
A total of 12 Bay Houses are available to rent, with 6 two-bedroom Grand Deluxe and 6 three-bedroom Master Deluxe options.
PINEWOOD HOUSES
10 Pinewoods Houses positioned in their own separate close. Arranged along the edge of a pine forest, these linked villas enjoy a select location but remain within easy access of the main resort facilities. Contemporary in appearance, the use of clean forms and lines underline a stylish simplicity that is also adopted inside. Interior decor is sophisticated yet functional. It´s unhurried and imaginative. British furniture and interiors designer Michael Sodeau has insisted on high quality materials throughout, and has used natural timber, local stone and other products like cork and wicker to stamp the living spaces with an environmentally sound label. Each house has its own small, private swimming pool that enhances a garden planted with wild, indigenous flora. Pinewoods Houses appeal to families who appreciate a degree of seclusion but still like to be near the resort´s leisure and entertainment attractions.

GARDEN HOUSES
Arranged around an area of indigenous parkland, the Garden Houses are substantial semi- detached villas set whithin the perimeter of a large walled garden. The living spaces are all about comfortable luxury: function and form in harmony with elegance and sophistication. British furtiture and iterior designer Michael Sodeau has triumphed with a combination of furnishings that are practical but stylish. Natural materials have been used throughout: timber, wicker and cork, and local stone. The effect is homely and organic. Private verandas overlook a central feature of the garden – the Oasis Pool, a heated free-form swimming pool. The views also take in the surroundings of the resort and the countryside of the unspoiled western Algarve.
A total of 39 Houses are available, with 10 one-bedroom Deluxe, 20 two-bedroom Grand Deluxe and 9 three-bedroom Master Deluxe options.
Vila Mimosa
All are independently owned and feature 2 or 3 large bedrooms and a parking space in front of the house. Their position affords impressive views across the resort, the Sagres peninsula and the Natural Park. Cosmopolitan in character yet maintaining an important sense of tradition, the townhouses have been designed upside down: bedrooms and bathrooms are situated on the ground floor while a large open plan lounge and state-of-the-art kitchen occupy the second level. The interior speaks in a comtemporary manner but the tone is measured. Comfort an quality are the central themes. Furnishings are stylish but functional. All townhouses have central heating, ar-conditioning, satellite TV and DVD player. The exclusive collection of independently owned luxury villas are located on the western margin of the resort. Our own Surf Centre, where you can enjoy all of the surf emotions with the help of a professional and experienced Surf School. In a village surrounded by sea and considered one of the best surf places in Europe, you could never leave without having a surf experience.

Wind Surfing
MARTINHAL BEACH: South coast (next to hotel) – the predominately north winds during the summer months and crystal clear water make this beach one of the favourite spots for European windsurfers. In summer the beach is the perfect place for slalom, freeride and freestyle with strong winds and calm waters. In winter this spot is more suited to waveriding.
TONEL BEACH: West coast (5 minutes from hotel) – July and August are the best months for windsurfing on this beach. During this time, the north winds blow offshore at Martinhal beach. If you are in the mood for waveriding, try out Tonel beach since the winds here are pretty good and the waves break regularly. But be careful: the small size of the beach area and the existence of rock outcrops make this place suitable only for experienced windsurfers.

Running
Sagres is known for its inspiring landscapes and bright light. In addition to being a great place for surfing, hiking and cycling, it is also perfect for running.
The hotel has the perfect location for those guests that wish to have a healthy and active pristine getaway with a close contact with a pure and lively nature.We have designed three different itineraries for running with a distance of 4, 7 and 13 km from an easy to medium level of difficulty. Bring your running shoes, ask for the running mat at the reception, and try the 3 different running paths.
Diving
A different Algarve will uncover before your eyes. Wild and magical, it will fill you with an incredible energy along the Vicentina Coast Natural Park. The region’s spectacular beauty promises great dive sites, considered some of the most magnificent on mainland Portugal. In summer, the prevailing wind is from the north, ensuring a calm sea and favorable diving conditions.
Divers will be amazed by the variety of local species, both fauna and flora. From shoals of fish to sub-aquatic plants, there is a lot for divers to see. Local fish such as bodiões and judias, black and white sea bream, moray eels and octopus swim in and out of the many crags and hollows that are typical of this region. But there is much more to explore here than simply crags and caves; there are also plenty of shipwrecks at depths of between 10 and 30 metres, with many located in fairly shallow waters and thus ideal for beginners. The temperature of the water varies between 13ºC and 22ºC.

Yoga
Daily yoga classes with Michaël Bijker . Whether you are already practicing yoga or a complete beginner, these yoga classes will give you a deeper understanding about yoga and it’s benefits of the different techniques it has to offer. Through several relaxing, strengthening, and opening poses connecting with a deeper sense of self, training mind and body for a healthier and better life. The classes will be in a mixed style of Hatha yoga, shivananda, Iyengar and vinyasa flow. During the sessions Pranayama practice and through explanation about the techniques will be given.
About the teacher: Michaël is a certified 800hr YA certified teacher with a yoga therapy certification from the Paramanand Institute of Yoga Science & Research in Indore, India. The yoga he teaches is Raja Yoga in the style of Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin and Shivananda Hatha yoga and integrates mindfullnes excercises in his sessions.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Location
Sagres is one of Portugal’s most historic towns. Set on a headland overlooking a picturesque harbour, the port lies at the south-western most point of continental Europe within the boundaries of a protected Natural Park.
The park lends the area a wild, untamed character that helps personify Sagres as a destination steeped in myth and legend. Inexorably linked with the sea, Prince Henry the Navigator, who helped finance Portugal’s Voyages of Discovery during the 15th century, established a school of navigation near the town.
This is one of the Algarve’s least developed regions, and in Sagres a friendly and informal atmosphere prevails, unhurried and quite charming. The area enjoys comfortable temperatures all year round and can expect a yearly average of 300 sunny days, with fresh Atlantic breezes taming the heat of high summer.
Getting Here
Directions by car
We are located in the south of Portugal near the town of Sagres, in the western Algarve.
Much of the Algarve is served by the A22 dual carriageway called the Via do Infante – a fast motorway. Note that a toll is charged to use the A22.
To access the A22 from Faro airport follow the N125-10 dual carriageway north out of the terminal. Directions to the A22 are clearly indicated along the way. After approximately 4 km’s, take the exit for the Ic4 signposted Loule, Lisboa, Portimão and Albufeira. After a further 7 km’s, take exit for the A22 – signposted Lisboa, A22 – Portimão – Albufeira. Once on the A22 motorway,
head west towards Portimão and Lagos.
Motorists should exit the A22 at the junction marked Lagos/V. do Bispo. Follow the feeder road over the first roundabout. At the second roundabout, take the first right on the EN125 towards Vila do Bispo and Sagres, which is clearly signposted.
At Vila do Bispo the road becomes the N268 and continues uninterrupted into Sagres.
The Beach Resort & Hotel is situated on the left-hand side of the N268, approximately 1 km before Sagres. The resort is clearly signposted.
From Lisbon head south towards the Algarve on the A2 motorway to meet the A22 Via do Infante. Note that a toll is charged to use the A2.
Flight connections
Access to Sagres is fantastic from European airports especially. Guests can fly into Faro (FAO) which is 1h 15min away. Lisbon (LIS) is only 2h 30min away and Seville (SVQ) is 3h away.
