Discover New Zealand’s amazing surf by taking a guided tour on any of its two islands: The volcanic subtropical North Island and the mountainous green South Island. The South Island Tour operates luxury campervans and executive 4 wheel drive vehicles with lodge accommodation.

Tours are aimed at accomplished surfers who are keen to embark on a guided surf adventure and experience of a lifetime. You will decide with the surf guide the option best suited to your tastes and weather conditions. This is a customised surf tour and itineraries are up to clients.

Two packages are available: Deluxe Campervan or 4-wheel drive with lodge/motel accommodation.

The Campervan sleeps six persons and has all comfort, including central heating, CD player and video. Cooked breakfast, lunch and fruits onboard and a diferent restaurant each night for dinner (not included)

The 4 Wheel drive vehicles are the latest model and allow maximum flexibility to get to the most remote spots, while taking you to the comfort of a lodge for the night.

These are custom made tours and itineraries are chosen by clients under the guidance of the local guide according to swell/weather conditions.

Minimum tour is 5 days and recommended for accomplished surfers only (no lessons!)

From the golden sands of Able Tasman national park in the North, to the Antarctic waters in the far south, the South Island has a vast surfable coastline.

Here the West/East Coast divide is more noticeable than for the North Island, with the West Coast receiving the biggest swell directly from the Antarctic roaring 40’ and 50’. South Island surf is characterised by cold water – bring a good wetsuit, and uncrowded spots where you will be surfing on your own on many occasions.

New Zealand

Lying some 1,000 miles SE of Australia, New Zealand comprises two islands, the subtropical North Island and the temperate, mountainous South Island, separated by the Cook Strait. About the size of Great Britain or Japan, the country has nevertheless only just over 4 million inhabitants, making it one of the world’s least crowded countries.

Movie location for the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the stunning islands of New Zealand were originally settled by the wandering Polynesian Maori, who still make up around 15% of the population, The first documented European to discover New Zealand was Dutch navigator Abel Tasman in 1642, but it was not colonised till 125 years later, when Captain James Cook claimed it for Britain and Australian and British settlers came in.

New Zealand’s awesome landscapes, lush forests, amazing wildlife and pleasant climate make it a haven for many outdoor activities and a great place to unwind. New Zealand society is diverse, sophisticated, and multicultural, and friendliness and openness of Kiwis will surprise you!

The North Island is subtropical and the South Island temperate. The warmest months are December, January and February, and the coldest June, July and August.
