Discover New Zealand’s amazing surf by taking a guided tour on any of its two islands: The volcanic subtropical North Island and the mountainous green South Island. The North Island 5 Days Tour is a surf safari for beginners to advanced alike. Tour guides will find point breaks, reef breaks, beach breaks and river bars to suit your ability.
The tour takes you to the subtropical waters of the winterless North, from Auckland to the Ninety Miles Beach and Cape Reinga, at the northern tip of the island. Every day you will chase waves on remote and unspoiled beaches with consistent surf on either coasts, depending on wind and swells conditions. The only fix point of the itinerary is the set accommodation at Shipwreck Bay and Bay of Islands.

We also have a surfcamp in Shipwrecks Bay where you can come and stay as long as you want.

The Surf
The 5 Day Tour heads north of Auckland for the simple reasons of the the subtropical climate, the remote and unspoiled beaches, and the consistency of the surf due to the proximity of the three coasts: North, East and WestThe North Island, with miles of coastline and a subtropical climate, is a real surfers paradise. The surfing near the main urban areas can get a bit crowded, but there are many secret spots and huge areas with nobody else in the water. Unlike Australia, you are unlikely to share your surf session with sharks !
